If you’re a fan of all of the artisanal goods on Etsy, boy are you in for a treat. There’s a new line of earthy ceramics and homewares with tonal black, white, and cream palettes and subtle pops of graphic patterns that you’ll probably want to deck out your kitchen, living room, and pretty much every other surface with.
That Etsy has these gorgeous new wares isn’t the surprising part, though—what is surprising is who helped dream them up: actress Tia Mowry-Hardrict of “Sister, Sister” fame. For her first-ever foray into the home goods world, Mowry-Hardrict partnered with nine different Etsy artisans to create a collection of items that look super stylish but still have that homespun quality to them. This doesn’t come as a total surprise, since the mom of two and “Family Reunion” star has been sharing her best home hacks for a while now on her popular YouTube series, “Tia Mowry’s Quick Fix.” For a tightly-curated assortment though, which ranges in prices from about $22 to $166, there’s something for everyone, spanning the categories of tabletop, storage, soft goods, and even art.
Serving bowls, plates, and vases in the collection all have curvy, organic edges, while a trio of small storage boxes, which have leather pulls, feature a fun broken stripe motif.
The textiles really pop and have an earthy, almost Scandinavian, look to them. On the whole, items are neutral and would shine in a monochromatic, minimalist scheme. You could also use these pieces to ground or set off some of the bright shades you might already have going on in your home.
The Tia Mowry x Etsy collection is a limited-edition line and the first in a series of similar upcoming capsules that Etsy will launch later this year. Look for other collections coming down the pipeline from “The Bachelorette” alum and home renovator JoJo Fletcher, UK lifestyle brand Zoella, lifestyle mavens Elsie Larson and Emma Chapman of A Beautiful Mess, “Queer Eye” star Tan France, and more. If this first set of products is any indicator, these launches are going to be good and maybe even holiday gift-worthy.
