This London house was in “Love Actually” and it’s for sale

A charming house in London’s Notting Hill is on the market for £2.75 million (about $3.5 million). If it looks familiar, that’s because it appeared in “Love Actually,” in that iconic scene wherein Keira Knightly’s character opens the door to find her husband’s best friend, Mark, holding a bunch of note cards and professing his forbidden love for her.

If you look closely, the home that’s for sale is just behind the guy’s shoulder, the one with the black façade. So, to be clear, you’re not buying Knightley’s character’s house, you’re buying the one across it.

Even though the property doesn’t come with a man secretly in love with his best friend’s girl, it does feature 1,500-square-feet of living space spread over three floors. There are two bedrooms, two bathrooms, two reception rooms, an open-plan kitchen, and a roof-top terrace overlooking the neighborhood.

The interiors are light and airy, with white walls, rustic hardwood floors, and a cozy fireplace. Other parts of the house worth mentioning are the Juliet balconies from the lounge, as well as the staircase that doubles as a bookshelf.

“An exceptionally charming house in this famous cobbled mews in the heart of Notting Hill with superb living space inside and out,” said Chelsea Whelan, a partner at Knight Frank, which listed the property.

A description of the location added that the home is “… moments away from some of Notting Hill’s most vibrant and exclusive restaurants, shops and cafes being in proximity to the highly fashionable address of Westbourne Grove, Ledbury Road and Portobello Road.”

What do you think? Does this property make you want to say, “To me, you are perfect”?
