It’s been a while since I last did a round up of my favourite IKEA hacks on Instagram. And since then, the number of IKEA hacks on IG has grown leaps and bounds.
When I did a search, I found over 280,000 posts on #ikeahacks!

#1 MALM reading nook
A cosy reading nook from 2 MALM dressers (though the caption mentions HEMNES), framed. It even has space behind the cabinets for storage.

The reading nook and a bookshelf. The bench was made using two ikea dressers. We framed them for a built in look and pained them the same color as the wall. They weren’t quite deep enough so we added a storage compartment in the back – perfect for storing extra blankets and pillows. The bookshelf is made from 4 ikea book ledges and dowels. A favorite spot for both reading and play. Hope you’re having a good Monday

Werbung wegen Firmennennung Einige hatten gefragt woher unser Esstisch sei.. also den Bock kann man einzeln bei @ikeadeutschland kaufen, das ist der selbe denn wir auch für unseren Waschtisch im Bad verwendet haben. Und die Tischplatte gibt es auch bei Ikea in der Küchenabteilung, es ist nämlich eine Arbeitsplatte.. die gleiche die wir auch in unserer Küche haben damit das alles zusammen passt 
super easy und teuer war das ganze auch nicht

Wie versprochen zeige ich euch noch das Geschenk von uns für den großen Schlawiner zum 3. Geburtstag 
Da die letzten Monate das Büro vom Papa voll mit seinem alten Lego war und der Schlawiner nix anderes mehr spielen wollte, baute ich aus zwei Trofast Regalen einen Legotisch 
und damit er nicht durchgehend so viel Platz im #kinderzimmer einnimmt, habe ich ein paar Rollen drunter gebaut, Scharniere an den Regalen befestigt und ein Schließmechanismus 
nicht nur ich bin begeistert 
denn Papa und der große Schlawiner sind nicht mehr aus dem Zimmer zu bekommen

Industrial mirrors have pretty much exploded on my Instagram feed. Most are pretty expensive. Make one from the large HOVET mirror and save some $$.

#10 Hot air balloon with REGOLIT
Add a little whimsy to your kids’ room. A REGOLIT lamp shade, small basket and stick on dots completes this hot air balloon.

This looks a million bucks but it’s cheaper than you think. You’ll need 2 packs of IKEA LOTS mirrors, 24 angle brackets, masking tape and an adhesive that fixes to both glass and metal. Join the mirrors together, et voilà!

What an idea! A toy box with storage and seating. So useful, and I don’t mean just for kids. I can think of a number of ways I can use this handy storage crate ottoman at home.

#15 Mobile phone loop
No instructions found. But it seems pretty straightforward. Snip the handle off the FRAKTA blue bag and glue the ends to inside of a phone case. Done!
#16 Release the KROKEN
If plain clear glass is boring, jazz up the KROKEN with art. These personalised water bottles make great gifts too.
#17 FROSTA chair
So simple but make a difference. Just take one more FROSTA seat and leg and attach the short curved section under the seat. Sadly, the FROSTA seems to be discontinued, which is a major bummer. It is definitely Number 1 on my “IKEA, Please Bring Back List“.

SWIPE ACROSS for more photos!! One of the hardest things to find in most stores is a natural coffee table. So again I got to thinking and looked around my house for some inspo!! I really do have way too many baskets and thought about a past hack of mine where I turned a laundry hamper upside down to make a side table. So I turned the Ikea Basket I had upside down but the handles were in the way! I loved the look of it and it was a decent size for a small coffee table – so off went the handles! Also sitting in the storage room was the $19 @kmartaus oak look Side Table which I hadn’t used yet! The round top matched the colouring of the basket beautifully so I popped it on top!! Shazam- Instant Coffee Table – and I needed something to go with my @kmartaus Timber Chairs- perfect!! So if you have the @kmartaus timber chairs and you want a little table to match – here’s one for you!!
