Virtually Visit Animals With The Great Farm Sanctuary Tour
Attention all animal lovers: Lancaster Farm Sanctuary, a nonprofit sanctuary based in Pennsylvania, has created a virtual event that will allow people to tour animal sanctuaries across the U.S. amid the pandemic. The event, titled The Great Farm Sanctuary Tour, will give attendees the opportunity to visit 10 farm sanctuaries in New York, California, Hawaii, Texas, and more on Saturday, July 25. Coined as the largest single-day sanctuary tour, the event will take place between 11 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. EST and cost $25 for tickets.
The goal of the event is to raise funds for the various sanctuaries so they could continue to provide care for the rescued animals during COVID-19. As such, donations gifted will be matched up to $5,000, according to Lancaster Farm Sanctuary’s website. The sanctuaries set to participate in the virtual tour include Aloha Farm Sanctuary in Hawaii, Farm Sanctuary in New York, Rancho Relaxo in New Jersey, Foreverland Farm in Ohio, Austin Farm Sanctuary in Texas, Sweet Farm in California, Woodstock Farm Sanctuary in New York, Barn Sanctuary in Michigan, Luvin Arms Animal Sanctuary in Colorado, and, of course, Lancaster Farm Sanctuary in Pennsylvania.
Along with the virtual tours, animal lovers will also be able to participate in games to win prizes. Only one ticket is required per household and viewing device, so attendees quarantined together can attend the event for the price of one ticket. Farm animal sanctuaries rescue animals from factories and advocate for animal welfare, protection, and education. So, whether one is quarantined in urban areas or in big cities, The Great Farm Sanctuary Tour would be a great way to give back and (virtually) spend the day with some cute cows, pigs, and other animals.
