Galleria’s New Department Store in Gwanggyo Is a Mosaic Work of Art

OMA lately designed the sixth location of Korea’s first and largest upscale division retailer franchise, Galleria. The shop is positioned in Gwanggyo, an up-and-coming city simply south of Seoul, and is located subsequent to the Suwon Gwanggyo Lake Park. To attach the shop’s contrasting environment, OMA designed a novel facade that highlights each pure and concrete design parts.

The constructing’s exterior is made up of 3D glass shapes that snake round a stone-like mosaic construction. Although a quite charming function, the glass isn’t merely for adornment. By means of the glass, onlookers can catch a glimpse inside the futuristic retailer, whereas customers can concurrently get pleasure from new views of the growing city.

Inside, the glass acts as the primary route for guests.
